May 16, Dayton Tall Trees KOA, Ohio

Back in Dayton Ohio, time really flew by. Spending 2 nights at the park to wash the bedding etc and flush the tanks to prepare the RV for storage. On Friday we will move back to Henry, getting someone in to wash the RV at Henry's before taking it to storage.
That's it for this trip, thanks for following and the comments, we always enjoy some feedback.

May 14, Louiseville South, Kentucky

The loop is nearly complete, a mere 140 Miles today(we go in small steps). The Kentucky section of the the I-65 was impressive with 3 lanes and smooth surface, sadly it changed when we got near to Louiseville, more roadwork needed. Tomorrow on to Dayton Ohio, Tall Trees KOA for 2 nights then back to Henry on Friday.

May 13, Nashville North KOA, Tennessee

Today was an easier but also long drive along the I-65, all of 245 Miles, Alabama needs to do some more roadwork. Got to the KOA in time for an afternoon rest. Our journey is rapidly coming to an end, only 2 more stops before we are back in Dayton Ohio.
Time really does fly when you are having fun.

May 11, Birmingham, Alabama

Sorry, better late than never. Had a very tiring trip through some country roads and bad weather to get to Birmingham South RV park, 260 Miles from Topsail. Will spend 2 nights here so we can celebrate Mothers Day and I can watch the Spanish GP. Monday we move on to Nashville

May 10, Topsail Hil Preserve State Park

Managed to get an extra night at Topsail, yesterday conditions were Red flag, ie the wind was howling so we just could'nt swim, today was even worse Red and Purple flag meaning Jelly Fish and Sting Ray in water but the wind was much calmer.
Went down to the beach in the morning and decided not to risk it but in the afternoon time had run out, tomorrow we leave, no Jelly Fish in sight, calm weather, beautiful sea, we had a great swim, no stings or upsets, sometimes you just have to take a plunge.

May 8, Topsail Reserve Stae Park, Florida

After having 4 days of doing nothing in a very nice park, today we moved on to our favourite park on the Gulf Coast, Top Sail Hill State Preserve.  We have a lovely site, took the trolley down to the beach this afternoon for our first swim.  The wind was blowing, the surf was a little rough but we still enjoyed our swim.   The park runs a "trolley" that being a Ford truck, towing two trailers with seats, to the beach every 30 minutes.  The last time we were here we hired bikes and rode to the beach and other trails.  We are not sure whether we will do that again or just make use of the trolley.

May 5, Emerald Beach, Florida

So today we visited a REAL Gulf beach, some fellow campers, Matt and Martha, offered to take us to a nearby public beach, Navarre Beach, well at least got our feet wet.
These encounters often happen as a result of the girls chatting in the laundry.
More good news is that we managed to get 2 nights in our favourite RV park, Topsail from Wednesday on. We may have to get a hurry-up to get back to Henry in time but that's ok.

May 4, Emerald Beach RV Park

Finally arrived at the "Beach" RV park, at least we are right on the beach, not much of a beach by the looks of it.

May 3, Cattahoochee/CCC RV park

Just an overnight stop, no more no less.

May 2, Lake City Campground, Florida

A long day today, 220 Miles, heavy traffic, roadwork, massive downpour.
Tomorrow we turn left unto the I-10 for about 140 miles to an overnight stop to get to our booking at the Emerald Beach RV Resort on Saturday.

May 1, St Peterburgh Florida

Yesterday we had a fabulous visit and late lunch with our good friends Vee and Greg.
Tomorrow we will move in the direction of the Florida pan handle, we have made some reservations on the gulf and will see how that pans out.

April 29 St Peterburgh/Madeira Beach KOA, Florida

Drove up to Tampa on the I-75, 170 Miles without a single functioning rest stop, finally found one on the I-275, come on Florida you can do better than that!
.Will stay here a few days and see our good friends Veronique and Greg.

April 28, Naples, Everglades City, Florida

Today we got an Uber to Everglades City so we could go on an Airboat tour with "Jungle Erv's Airboat Tours".
Well it turned out to be a lot of fun, I really hope the video works for you guys, play it to the end and join the fun.(Sadly it doesn't work, it is really cool zooming through the swamps at speed..., it is an mp4, if any of you geniuses knows how to make it work please let me know)

August 26, Naples Florida

We decided to leave the Florida East coast and head West, what a difference, we where received with open arms even thought we were early. Looks like a nice park and interesting area from which we can explore the everglades. We are planning to stay for 3 days.

April 25, Fort Lauderdale Florida

Arrived at about midday at Fort Lauderdale KOA, the less said about this park the better. Everything that could be wrong with an RV park is here to be found. Early check-in fee, lousy wifi, no cable, squashed together. Tomorrow we move on.

April 24, Fort Pierce, Florida

Had a short 90 odd mile trip down to Fort Pierce, was met at the gate by the owner and taken to our site, that's a first. Nothing much else to report.

April 23, Kennedy Space Center

Today we took an Uber to the Kennedy Space Museum.  Had a wonderful day, such an interesting place to visit and as only the Americans can do, a well planned and good display.  I know a couple of young men in out family who would have loved being there with us, it's the right place for all little boys and even the big one I had with me. Took an Uber home in time to relax with an ice cold beer.
