April 29 St Peterburgh/Madeira Beach KOA, Florida

Drove up to Tampa on the I-75, 170 Miles without a single functioning rest stop, finally found one on the I-275, come on Florida you can do better than that!
.Will stay here a few days and see our good friends Veronique and Greg.

April 28, Naples, Everglades City, Florida

Today we got an Uber to Everglades City so we could go on an Airboat tour with "Jungle Erv's Airboat Tours".
Well it turned out to be a lot of fun, I really hope the video works for you guys, play it to the end and join the fun.(Sadly it doesn't work, it is really cool zooming through the swamps at speed..., it is an mp4, if any of you geniuses knows how to make it work please let me know)

August 26, Naples Florida

We decided to leave the Florida East coast and head West, what a difference, we where received with open arms even thought we were early. Looks like a nice park and interesting area from which we can explore the everglades. We are planning to stay for 3 days.

April 25, Fort Lauderdale Florida

Arrived at about midday at Fort Lauderdale KOA, the less said about this park the better. Everything that could be wrong with an RV park is here to be found. Early check-in fee, lousy wifi, no cable, squashed together. Tomorrow we move on.

April 24, Fort Pierce, Florida

Had a short 90 odd mile trip down to Fort Pierce, was met at the gate by the owner and taken to our site, that's a first. Nothing much else to report.

April 23, Kennedy Space Center

Today we took an Uber to the Kennedy Space Museum.  Had a wonderful day, such an interesting place to visit and as only the Americans can do, a well planned and good display.  I know a couple of young men in out family who would have loved being there with us, it's the right place for all little boys and even the big one I had with me. Took an Uber home in time to relax with an ice cold beer.

April 22, Kennedy Space Center Koa

Yesterday we had a short hop to Titusville KOA Kennedy Space Center. 
For those of you who have followed our blog over the years, you might remember us commenting on the golf cart, driven by a man in a yellow t-shirt, that took you to your site when you arrived at a KOA park.  Well, yesterday we had a different type of escort, the man was wearing a yellow t-shirt but he was riding a 3 wheeled bicycle. We had a good laugh about that. Henry, you will definitely enjoy this one.
ps Roscoe, the Craft beer I had a A1 was great.

April 21, St Augustines, Florida

Yesterday we were fetched by bus from the camp and transported to st Augustines.  This is another down memory lane trip, but there were things we didn't do the last time, through lack of time, so we planned to do it again.  This time we could not be dropped at the first trolley stop because of the Easter Parade, so we found a nice seat on a wall and watched the parade.

We then found a trolley and did the round trip of the city, always very interesting.    Having done the city tour, we decided to catch the beach bus, all this included in the excursion ticket that is purchased at camp, and go to the St Augustine lighthouse on Anastasia Island.  We ended the day with a delicious lunch at the A1A Ale Brewery restaurant, sitting upstairs overlooking the bay.  The only difference this time to last time, was the weather, the sun was shining, a glorious day.

April 19, St Augustines Florida

Rather a rough journey today, we only had 170 miles to go but the wind was howling which made the drive somewhat hairy. The traffic was heavy with several slow downs and even an accident.
Fortunately we made it safely to a park called "Compass RV resort", looks nice enough. Tomorrow we visit St Augustines.
